    UPMC#in Central Pa#is seeking a certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner to provide care at our practice in Mechanicsburg, PA.

    Clinical Details Evaluating patients and assisting with their care.

    This includes, but is not limited to, performing a thorough exam, dressing changes, removing lines and drains, and performing minor procedures.

    Wound debridement and management (includes organizing and educating patients about home dressing changes/case care).

    Independent Nurse Practitioner/PA Clinic # management of uncomplicated post-operative and perioperative care of patients including wound management, x-ray evaluation, in-office excisions of lesions, cysts, review pathology results with patients, etc.# Perform medication injectables and other small procedures independently in the office.# Wound Service # consultations, management and follow up.

    This will involve coordinating appropriate attending staff involvement for operative cases.

    Support the plastic surgery attending physician with consultations and procedures in the emergency room and operating room.# Expedite care by staffing ER consultations and being available to assist the physician with consultations when the physician is on call.

    # Assist with small procedures as needed including wound debridement, laceration suturing, suture removal, drain removal and etc. Facilitate appropriate follow-up with attending physician. Educate patients about discharge care, home dressings and medications. Accurately record and submit documentation of consults and procedures performed so the services can be billed.

    Assist the surgeon in the Operating Room with all procedures Professional Skills Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

    Professional Skills


    • Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
    • Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
