- Oversee all residential real estate transactions in the office
- Review titles and other documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
- Work with lenders, agents, brokers, buyers, and sellers to facilitate real estate transactions
- Work with paralegals and staff throughout the pre-closing process to ensure that closings occur smoothly and as quickly as possible
- Explain terms and documents to borrowers/clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Oversee or conduct title certification, closings, record documents, and disbursement of funds
- Strong likelihood of expansion into business law areas including drafting lease contracts, purchase and sale agreements, forming entities, obtaining licensing for restaurants in area, and more
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on real estate matters
- May have additional general practice duties as assigned by the managing attorney
- A JD from an accredited law school and a member of the SC Bar in good standing
- An understanding of residential real estate transactions and all aspects of the title review and curative process
- This position is in-office, and the candidate must possess a high degree of autonomy and the ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
