    Job Summary

    • The float Medical-Surgical nurse is responsible for overseeing the care of adult or geriatric patients facing general medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse should be capable of evaluating patient condition, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, maintaining records, and offering support and education to patients and their families. The Medical-Surgical nurse upholds a broad spectrum of medical care knowledge to cater to a varied patient population.

    Job Requirements

    • Education Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
    • Experience Previous nursing experience is advantageous
    • Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated effective leadership qualities; Displays valuable time management skills; Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; Flexibility and adeptness in a multitasking setting
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration MO RN license; BLS certification must be acquired within 90 days
