    Job Schedule: Full time


    Salary Range: $38.50


    Sign On Bonus: $15,000/2 or $20,000/3 year commitment


      Department Details:
    • This position entails full-time hours of 36 hours per week, alternating between 12-hour day and night shifts. Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend on day shift is mandatory, as well as holiday rotation.

      Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center offers a dynamic work environment where Respiratory Therapists collaborate across all departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Join our team to provide expertise through a teleRT program supporting hospitals in South Dakota and Minnesota.

      Respiratory Therapists must be versatile in caring for patients from initial to final stages. New graduates are welcome to expand their knowledge and gain confidence in independent practice.


    Job Overview:

    Respiratory Therapists play a crucial role in assessing, treating, and educating patients with cardiopulmonary and sleep disorders. They focus on disease prevention, detection, and management, providing interventions to enhance cardiopulmonary and overall health, aligned with care plans. Education on preventative measures, self-management, and improving quality of life is a key aspect of their role.

    Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, adjusting therapies based on equipment usage analysis, and monitoring vital levels such as oxygen and carbon dioxide. Additionally, they evaluate lung capacity, offer diagnoses, and suggest treatments accordingly.



    Qualifications:

    Eligible candidates should possess a degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program. Essential requirements include knowledge of respiratory care procedures, equipment, and computer proficiency for documentation.

    Active Respiratory Therapy licensure and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials are mandatory. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary, along with specialty credentials like Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
