Job summary
The CNC Operator is responsible for editing CNC programs and operating CNC machines to achieve product specifications.
- Set up and operation of 3 axis and Horizontal CNC Mills utilizing set up sheets provided
- Carryout production inspection machine operation duties read interpret prints sketches work orders follow verbal instructions use various measuring tools perform first article in process inspections calipers micrometers height gage etc operate basic shop equipment band saw grinders etc build fixtures work holding as required deburr clean parts as required modify G-Code programs adjust offsets meet product conformity evaluate experimental procedures recommend changes modifications improved efficiency production replace cutting tools meet production conformity setup manual machine tools support operations perform daily maintenance checks greasing oiling machine free chips train entry level machinists effectively monitor tend one more machine tools other Duties assigned minimum three years experience ISOAS MIL STD prototype/job shop environment complex documentation verbal/written instruction high level attention detail excellent problem-solving skills maintain safe clean workspace follow established safety rules regulations regular scheduled attendance indicate percentage time spent traveling –0%
