    Job Title: Dental Assistant

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at Hammock Gardens Dental Care. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our dentists in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their dental journey.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health history to provide quality care.
    • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
    • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures.
    • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping.
    • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
    • Manage supply and inventory levels, as well as place and expedite orders as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced customer-centric environment.
    • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required by state dental practice act).
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Preferred Experience:

    • 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
    • Dentrix or other dental software experience.
    • Dental assisting school certification.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Able to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
