    AT AGM UNIVERSITY, WE ARE GROWING

    We are currently seeking a Health Sciences and Simulation Lab Technician. The individual in this role will coordinate activities and practices of the science and nursing labs. Responsible for day-to-day general tasks of the science and nursing laboratories, ordering laboratory supplies and equipment, testing safety equipment, and preparing labs for teaching and practical experience. AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Coordinate with the faculty the daily running of nursing and/or science skills and scenario.
    • Ensure set up and coordinate troubleshoot of Simulation Lab & Science equipment.
    • Science and Simulation laboratories support.
    • Support acquisition, installation, and training of equipment.
    • Organize science, skills and simulation laboratory rooms and supplies.
    • Manage and order science, skills, and simulation laboratory supplies.
    • Support faculty during course activities and technical assistance.
    • Ensures that labs are well-organized, clean, and orderly always.
    • Assist the Director of Simulation and Science Labs in the implementation of simulation scenarios, including standardized scenarios.
    • Assist the Director of Simulation and Science Labs with the supervision of students completing clinical in the simulation laboratory.
    • Assist with debriefing video capture of student performance.
    • Monitor the scheduling of the labs to ensure optimal usage.
    • Maintain relationships with vendors.
    • Prepare chemical solutions as requested and needed.
    • Prepare biological pre-experiments as requested and needed.
    • Maintains supply inventory.
    • Organizes and maintains the science biological & chemical stockroom, inventory, and Material Safety Data Sheets.
    • Collects and prepares lab waste for proper disposal.
    • Perform other duties as required.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Technology Education required.
    • Minimum two (2) years of laboratory work experience.
    • Minimum one (1) year experience with simulation/virtual technology equipment.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent) with the ability to communicate complex information simply, both verbally and written highly preferred.
