    General Summary

    As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability of Rochester Electronics' delivered parts for field use.

    You'll be an integral part of the Reliability Lab Environmental Test Department, responsible for creating and executing reliability qualification stress plans.

    Your work will involve defining stress requirements, conducting tests, and summarizing results in final test reports.
    Responsibilities

    Reliability Planning:
    Develop and implement reliability engineering and production qualification plans.

    Testing Expertise:

    Conduct reliability testing, including Mechanical Stress Tests and Environmental Tests, in alignment with applicable qualification plans and industry-standard methods.


    Equipment Mitigation:
    Address equipment obsolescence and business continuity risks. Evaluate, acquire, and bring on-line new equipment to support production capacity.

    Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities for enhancing current equipment and fixtures that impact product yield.

    Collaboration:
    Work within the reliability engineering team to propose equipment design improvements. Communicate effectively with engineering and quality teams to ensure timely implementation.

    Root Cause Analysis:
    Facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for reliability incidents. Collaborate with relevant engineering groups to assess root causes and define corrective actions.
    Other Duties & Responsibilities
    Technical report writing
    8D problem analysis
    Qualifications
    BSEE, BSME, BSCE degree or equivalent engineering degree.


    • Familiar with JEDEC, AEC Automotive and Mil Standard reliability test methods and requirements.
    • Knowledgeable of ESD failure modes and device handling.
    • Strong documentation, communication, and technical writing skills required.
    • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma theory and practices is desirable.
    • Familiarity with JMP or Minitab analysis software a plus.
    • Advanced computer skills with an understanding of Microsoft Office software suite.
