    Are you a motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills and experience in dental assisting? We are seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our state-of-the-art modern dental practice in Palm Coast, FL.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
    2. Prepare patients for dental treatments by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them.
    3. Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
    4. Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning them for the dentist's access, suctioning, and passing them.
    5. Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing them on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
    6. Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
    7. Maintain patients' appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
    8. Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
    9. Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
    10. Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
    11. Maintain patients' confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
    12. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    13. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
    14. Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
    15. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
    16. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Qualifications:

    We require the following skills and qualifications:

    • X-ray and EFDA license
    • Experience working as a Dental Assistant
