    Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Senior IT Internal Auditor. This position will work with a dynamic team of dedicated professionals who are committed to excellence in fiduciary and financial accountability and reporting. Reporting to the Manager, Internal Audit, the Senior IT Internal Auditor is responsible for participating in/assistance in leading various phases of internal audits and various co-sourced internal audit projects. The Senior IT Internal Auditor will also assist the Manager, Internal Audit and CAO in executing special requests, investigations, and ad hoc projects as deemed necessary. This position interacts with various levels across many company departments.

    What you'd be doing:

  • Assist in planning and performing ITGC and business process control audits.
  • Assist in the monitoring and supervision of co-sourced internal audits.
  • Perform Tests of Design, Tests of Operating Effectiveness, and conduct walkthroughs.
  • Request, obtain and test audit evidence, meeting strict deadlines.
  • Assist with the design and improvement of test procedures to evaluate the adequacy of internal controls.
  • Assess control deficiencies.
  • Assist in evaluation of new/existing processes, policies, systems, and business process risks.
  • Assist with special projects, investigations, and other ad hoc tasks.
  • Interact with management and external auditors
  • We're looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or other degree related to audit.
  • CISA designation or actively working toward obtaining.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT General Controls, including but not limited to information Security, Information System Operations, Vendor Management, Business Continuity, Networks, Database, System Software, Hardware, and Application Development controls.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines, both independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Insurance industry experience.
  • Business process controls testing experience.
  • CPA/CIA or actively working toward obtaining one of these certifications.
  • Understanding of GAAP and statutory accounting principles, policies, and controls.
