Insight Global is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to join a dynamic team for one of their major media and entertainment clients. This role offers the flexibility of full remote work and involves a 6-month contract that may extend.

This position entails working on the internal CMS platform, which serves as a comprehensive publishing backend service supporting various client applications across different content domains including Sports, TV, News, and more.

Joining a team currently consisting of 4 SDET's, the focus is on expanding the regression testing suite to fully automate test cycles, eliminating the need for manual testing. The goal is to automate the automation process itself. The selected individual will primarily handle frontend testing of new CMS features, involving creating, maintaining, and executing test plans.

Successful candidates will possess a deep understanding of acceptance criteria derived from development tasks, be well-versed in validation processes, and actively participate in planning sessions, refinement activities, and team ceremonies. The role involves collaborating on cross-functional integration testing, particularly regarding publishing workflows and how content modifications by Editors in the CMS reflect on underlying APIs and frontend client capabilities.

While the team generally follows a 10-6 Eastern time schedule, core hours from 11-4 are mandatory.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of automation testing experience
- Proficiency in frontend testing tools like MABL, Cypress, Mocha, or Jest
- Solid experience with JavaScript
- Expertise in testing and automating secure REST APIs
- Skilled in cross-browser and cross-platform testing
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies within an enterprise setting
