About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team at AppGastro. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering outstanding patient care, possess strong clinical skills, and demonstrate expertise in endoscopy procedures.Responsibilities include:

1. Conduct pre-procedure assessments, including patient history review, vital signs measurement, and medication reconciliation.
2. Educate patients and their families about the endoscopy procedure, including pre-procedure preparations and post-procedure care instructions.
3. Assist gastroenterologists and other healthcare providers during endoscopy procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
4. Monitor patients closely during procedures, assessing vital signs and responding promptly to any changes in patient condition.
5. Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients' responses to sedation, ensuring proper sedation levels and managing any adverse reactions.
6. Perform post-procedure assessments, monitoring patients for signs of complications and providing appropriate interventions as needed.
7. Document all aspects of patient care accurately and efficiently in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures.
9. Maintain a clean and organized endoscopy suite, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices for endoscopy nursing care.
