    Position Description:

    MUST RESIDE IN THE MIDWEST - NEBRASKA, KANSAS, MISSOURI, MINNESOTA

    This position includes and is not limited to managing the real estate aspects of opening a new franchised learning center.

    They will manage each site project with site visits & brokerage relationships, manage & further develop the CIAB (Center in A Box) projects. They will own all real estate aspects up through lease signing and track/manage all buildouts through center openings.

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

     Research and analyze existing and prospective markets targeted either for new center development and/or center relocation.

     Develop relationships with a network of commercial real estate brokers to identify potential sites for new center development and relocations.

     Manage site selection for Franchisee new center developments.

     Work with Franchisees on the due diligence process for driving new center development, including site approval reviews and processes.

     Conduct Site tours with franchisees to gain Operations approval for proposed sites.

     Identify areas where viable retail is available and partner with the Franchise Development Team to recruit candidates in these areas.

     Maintain strong market knowledge and understanding of Mathnasium's target markets, trends, and other factors that build real estate opportunities.

     Analyze the time to open with the scope of buildout along with the permitting process.

    Examples of Key Projects/Goals:

     Measure key milestones & improve time to open – FA signing, LOI execution, lease execution, permitting, and construction.

     Ensure opening goals are met for the company budget.

     Obtain approvals for Franchisees' site submittals in a timely fashion ensuring no delays.

     Partner cross-functionally to complete analysis & measurement regarding new center performance and apply learnings to future real estate decisions.

    Required Skills:

     Degree in Real Estate, Business, or related field with 3-5 years experience in commercial real estate.

     Previous experience working with franchisees or clients.

     Ability to build strong working relationships with other critical departments outside development.

     Ability to process information including gathering assessing, organizing, auditing, and verifying data.

     Willingness to travel throughout the US/Canada within 2-3 weeks' notice.

     Self-starting problem solver seeking win/win solutions demonstrates perseverance and is not easily discouraged.

     Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

     Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks.

     Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

     Adapt with company growth and evolution.

    Preferred Skills:

     Degree in Real Estate, Business, or related field with 3-5 years experience in commercial real estate.
