    Facilities Coordinator

    Role:
    Ensures the credit union's building systems and equipment are functioning correctly and are maintained in excellent condition.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    • Monitors and ensures contractor compliance for contracts including but not limited to landscape, janitorial, HVAC, carpet, and snow removal.
    • Responds to work orders and communicates work response schedule.
    • Maintains adequate inventory of maintenance equipment and tools.
    • Resolves contractor problems.
    • Recommends and adheres to annual facilities budget.
    • Schedules visits to perform ongoing and scheduled maintenance and repair.
    • Performs preventative maintenance to ensure HVAC and other building equipment systems are kept in proper working order.
    • Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifies appropriate personnel, and follows safety protocol
    • Prepares bid specifications for approval.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Knowledge & Skills:

    Experience:
    Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

    Education:


    An associate degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to an associate degree is preferred.


    Interpersonal Skills:
    Effective communication with contacts inside and outside the organization is essential. The role requires a significant level of emotional intelligence.

    Other Skills:
    General office equipment such as calculators, computers, photocopiers, and scanners. Competent in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general contracting. Maintains confidentiality related to credit union operations and work-related information. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

    Physical Requirements:
    Must be able to accomplish hard physical labor in many different conditions including lifting equipment.

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, and crawl.

    Must demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting. Occasionally lifts, moves, and carries more than 50 lbs.
