    Description

    Position Title: Network Monitoring Systems Administrator

    About the Role: Join our Network Operations team as a Support Systems Administrator, where you'll play a vital role in deploying and maintaining critical network monitoring and management systems. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll ensure the reliability and performance of our network infrastructure, edge routing, and access platforms.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the subject matter expert for monitoring and management systems used on the network.
    • Deploy and support tools and systems for monitoring network equipment, servers, and routers.
    • Monitor health and performance of all monitoring and management systems.
    • Provide technical training and documentation for network monitoring and management.
    • Work with team members to implement monitoring, provisioning, and notification requirements.
    • Integrate mission-critical assets into monitoring dashboards.
    • Make recommendations on modifications to existing monitoring systems to align with industry best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience with monitoring and provisioning systems in a service provider environment.
    • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field preferred.
    • Comfortable working with all levels of internal management and external partners.
    • Strong knowledge of network design and implementation.
    • Experience with network monitoring software such as Solarwinds, Intermapper, or similar.
    • Familiarity with monitoring protocols such as ICMP, SNMP, REST, and API.
    • Skilled in SQL queries and SQL server.
    • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, servers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
    • Understanding of IP routing, switching, and OSI model.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment and willingness to share knowledge and collaborate.
