    We are seeking a highly skilled Trust & Estates Legal Assistant to join our team at a national law firm. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires exceptional administrative support skills, strong organizational abilities, and excellent communication skills.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in trusts and estates within a law firm environment. They will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and timekeeping. Additionally, they will coordinate and process attorney expense reports, travel arrangements, and internal workflow tasks.

    This role also involves preparing, filing, and serving court documents for probate and estate proceedings, including fiduciary appointments and resignations, disclaimers, inventories, and claims against estates. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and submission of Federal and New York State estate tax returns and draft, revise, and proofread estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.

    The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and client service skills with a professional demeanor. They will work collaboratively within a team, prioritize deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel, is essential for this role. A working knowledge of Medicaid applications is a plus.
