    BIM (Building Information Modeling) COORDINATOR

    Reports to the VP of Preconstruction Services in the Glasgow Office.
    Assists the VP of Preconstruction Services in the production of coordination drawings.

    Overview

    This position is for candidates interested in advancing a career in construction drawing coordination.

    BIM Coordinators are expected to work in both office and field environments, depending on individual project needs with most work being performed in the office.

    Responsibilities

    Uphold GMCI's values of safety, quality, honesty, and professionalism in all aspects of work
    Aid in the help on coordination for projects.
    Produce sheets for installation from a coordination model.
    Use of Navisworks to work in the coordination progress of the model.
    Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all shop drawings produced.
    Assist on project work – model and detailing.
    Create REVIT families in response to project need.
    Help resolve BIM design issues.
    Performing any other duties necessary to advance project or departmental goals

    Required Skills

    Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Ability to read and interpret technical documents
    Self-motivated to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
    Willingness to develop new skills under the guidance of others
    Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments

    Preferred Skills
    Preferred skills are not required, but may improve a candidate's prospects.

    Familiarity with plumbing, HVAC, and process systems
    Commercial/Industrial

    construction experience
    2+ years production experience in design or drafting
    Experience with Autodesk such as REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
    In-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions with emphasis on project sheet setup
    Basic PC experience in Windows environments such as word processing, spreadsheets and email.

    Base Salary/Hourly Range:
    depending upon qualifications and experience
