Job Location Gardena - Gardena, CA Education Level High School **RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO** **:** * Assisting crew team on loading and unloading of equipment and materials on the truck daily.
Maintain tools and equipment as necessary and according to safety specifications.
Trench or dig and or pot hole for marked utilities.
Assist with the handling and placement of conduit, vaults, cable, fiber, etc.
Assist in pulling lasher, hand aerial tools and materials to experienced laborer performing aerial work.
Assist in cleaning and preparing construction job site to eliminate possible safety hazards.
Daily retrieval and securing work tools from work truck.
Clean the truck daily.
Ability to use hand tools or equipment on a daily basis.
Follow instructions given by foreman or supervisor on the job.
Perform other duties as assigned.
**OVERVIEW:**
Under the direction of a Foreman/Supervisor; the essential duties for telecommunications constructions laborer perform a wide variety of duties, to support, maintain and establish our telecommunication projects. The position involves physical labor duties at public & private roads, street and highway sites and must be able to work in all weather conditions.
A laborer must follow strict safety standards to protect themselves and complete high-quality projects on a timely manner.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Must pass the necessary pre-screening test
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Must be able to work with a team or alone
Must demonstrate adequate hand and power tool handing.
**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**
High School diploma or GED
0 to 6 months of construction experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
0 to 6 months of construction, maintenance or labor experience.
Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
Attention to detail.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**

Ability to stand, squat, bend at the knees or waist, crawl for long period of time.
Work outside in varying weather conditions.
Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug testing.
Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 75 pounds
Must be able to pull ropes and work under various weather conditions (Cold, Hot, Wet Dry)
Local travel required to a variety of worksites
Must be able to work in loud, noise-filled environment out in the field
