    Banner Gateway Medical Center's Surgery department consists of 12 Operating Rooms which includes 8 in the Main OR and 4 located at the Banner Gateway Surgery Center on campus.

    BGMC offers a wide range of surgical specialties serving a mostly adult population.

    As a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room, you will have the opportunity to work with BGMCs OR specialties such as Oncologic, Bariatric, Robotic, General, Urology, GYN, Orthopedics and other specialties.

    Yes, weekend and holiday rotations required.

    Enjoy a flat rate $5/hr for call, $3/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential, when applicable .

    Banner Gateway Medical Center offers 286 private rooms, 13 operating suites, a 46-bed emergency department and shares a campus with the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center.

    Our WIS and NICU services support an average of 4,000 deliveries per year.

    Key specialties include oncology, obstetrics, bariatric surgery, emergency and other services that focus on meeting the changing needs of the dynamic and growing community we serve.

    Our inpatient medical oncology unit also incorporates a program that utilizes the electronic surveillance partnership in caring for the patient, where remote nurses have the ability to interact with patients via two-way audio-video to assist the bedside nurse with patient care.

    This position selects and places surgical instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery. Participates in stocking, replenishing supplies and cleaning operating rooms.
    May provide business support to the department including assigned administrative tasks.
    Participates in or leads the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned.
    High school diploma/GED and current basic life support certification.
    Where applicable must be registered with State Regulatory Agency
    Must stay abreast of new developments in the field.
    Graduation from a certified school of surgical technology or two years of operating room experience.
