    Overview

    1st Assist Opportunity: General Surgery

    California Bay Area

    Dignity Health Medical Group - Sequoia ) is a dynamic multi-specialty group and is still growing. We are affiliated with Sequoia Hospital. We are looking for a Surgical Physician Assistant who is passionate about general surgery and is team-oriented.

    Responsibilities

    Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

    • Conduct comprehensive health assessments.
    • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.

    Treatment Planning and Management:

    • Develop and implement patient care plans.
    • Prescribe medications and therapies.
    • Provide health promotion and disease prevention education.

    Collaboration and Consultation:

    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
    • Consult with physicians and specialists as needed.
    • Coordinate patient care across various settings.

    Qualifications

    • Preferred bariatrics and general surgery experience
    • Training from an accredited NP with RN First Assist license or PA program
    • Valid state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a First Assist license (RNFA) or Physician Assistant (PA)
    • DEA, Furnishing Licence, PAB required Substance Abuse Course, ACLS, BLS
    • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound clinical judgments
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
    • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant healthcare technologies

    Pay Range

    $ $74.00 /hour
