    We are in search of an experienced Pediatric RN to join our diverse health team and support in patient care, including treatment administration, patient education, triage, and clinic flow activities.

    The schedule involves one evening shift per week, ending at 7pm with a rotating Saturday. Hours may vary based on operational requirements.

    This role focuses on pediatrics, overseeing various pediatric responsibilities daily.

The Clinical Nurse II utilizes the nursing process as a foundation for professional nursing practice and delivers direct care to patients and families in an office setting. Training, evaluation, and competencies for this position are supervised by a Nurse Leader in the department.

    Job Description:

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Delivers direct patient care and makes essential nursing decisions. Responsible for assessing healthcare needs, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating outcomes. Demonstrates decision-making skills by combining theory with practical experience in patient care.
    • Coordinates patient care and supervises support staff to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Recognizes external factors impacting patient healthcare. Identifies necessary resources for care plan implementation.
    • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to determine patient and family healthcare needs. Builds trustful relationships with patients and families, promoting effective communication. Serves as a patient advocate.
    • Keeps up with mandatory education, including emergency skills and unit-specific competencies. Identifies opportunities for growth and development, working with the unit educator or clinical nurse specialist. Participates in professional development and quality improvement activities.
    • Demonstrates commitment to patients, colleagues, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Nursing practice aligns with the Medical Center's goals. Takes responsibility for nursing practice and patient safety.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
    • Registered Nurse license.
    • American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certification.
    • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
    • Basic computer proficiency, ability to navigate web-based applications.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in a teaching hospital and specialized area knowledge.
