    $2,000 Sign on Bonus paid out every 3 months at $500 until paid in full

    $3.00 an hour Attendance Bonus

    Shifts: 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:30pm or 3rd shift 10:00pm-6:30am EOW is required

    Position Summary


    Performs resident care activities and related nursing services necessary in caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of residents as assigned.

    Assist in providing a compassionate physical, social and psychological environment, which will allow the resident to achieve the highest level of functioning.

    Performs duties in accordance with established nursing objectives, standards, facility policies and procedures, and residents' rights.

    Job Description

    A. NURSING ASSISTANT GENERAL DUTIES

    Duties:

    Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, and positioning in and out of bed, chair, etc.

    Assist and encourage participation in resident recreation programs. Ensure residents are given correct diet.

    Prepare residents for meals and snacks, assist residents in eating, providing appropriate utensils and assistance with meals as needed, recording food intake.

    Read and follow plan of care; perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures; report changes in resident condition to nurse in charge; document care provision on resident record/flow sheets as required.

    Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the supervisor.

    B. CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS

    Duties:
    Promote and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, residents, visitors, volunteers, and regulators. Directly respond, within their scope of practice, to needs and concerns of residents and family members. Work with the care-giving team to identify and resolve resident and family issues. Promptly respond to call lights and other resident needs.

    Qualifications

    • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the State. Proficient in performing technical skills required of a nursing assistant.
    • Ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships through the use of tactful, direct and sensitive interaction. Must be able to communicate verbally in a positive and professional manner.
    • Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish this job.
    • Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperative with others.
    • Must be able all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
