    Description

    Job Title and Responsibilities

    As a Senior IT Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the robust security of the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). You will identify, deploy, and integrate security controls into the MMIS system throughout its lifecycle. This role involves collaborating with security teams, assisting with security audits, addressing vulnerabilities, and supporting the integration of security tools like Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) into the development process.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implementing security best practices for AWS-hosted applications using AWS security and monitoring tools.
    • Collaborating with internal security teams to identify and address vulnerabilities in infrastructure and application code.
    • Contributing to the development of security standards, secure frameworks, and educational materials for developers.
    • Presenting and defending risk detection and mitigation strategies to business and IT stakeholders.
    • Assisting in defining technical security requirements for the MMIS environment.

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role, you should have:

    • Extensive experience implementing security best practices in AWS environments.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
    • A strong understanding of application security, including web and API development.
    • Experience with healthcare IT systems or Medicaid systems is a plus.

    Education and Experience

    You should have:

    • An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Security Specialty, (ISC)2 CCSP, or GIAC GSEC preferred.
    • At least 3 years of experience in application and infrastructure security.
    • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST 800-53, FEDRamp, ISO 27xxx) and AWS security tools.
    • Strong technical documentation, writing, and analytical skills.

    This is a 6-month contract position (with extension likely) based in Quincy, MA, offering a competitive salary. The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience.
