The
Associate Creative Director of Copy
is responsible for overseeing the creation of copy for all assigned brands. The
ACD of Copy
will work closely with the account team, UX, Brand Experience, and Digital Strategy Team to develop HCP and patient tactics.
Will ensure that all content created is strategically accurate, relevant to the target audience, and consistent with the existing brand style and regulatory requirements.
They will present to the internal and client teams regularly, play an active role in new business pitches, develop creative campaigns and content strategy, and support internal and external initiatives as needed.
They will also help manage the copy team, including hiring new team members, allocating freelancers, and mentoring existing team members.
NOTE :
This is a COPYWRITING position, not an ART position.
Responsibilities:
Write engaging, cohesive copy across multiple channels (including print, digital, video, social, etc) and within the appropriate voice to fit the client and/or audience
Consistently maintain high standards of writing to enhance the agency-client relationship
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of content strategy along with all assigned client brands and therapeutic areas
Develop, evolve and ensure adherence to brand strategy
Attend, participate in, and present at client meetings on a regular basis
Hire, train, and mentor copy team members to meet client and agency standards
Manages workloads for direct reports and helps to negotiate timelines while adhering to budget
Exhibit comprehensive problem-solving and interpersonal skills, anticipating problems and offering solutions as needed
Concept/create names, taglines, and campaigns for multiple audiences and working with the creative lead to flesh out visual look and feel
Support the development of project briefs
Work with account team to identify areas for business growth
Participate in and provide input to brand planning meetings
Demonstrate continued curiosity, including being willing to learn, open to feedback and willing to adapt to team/business needs as necessary
Participates in or leads new business efforts, including attending and presenting at pitches
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience
8+ years of experience with a pharmaceutical advertising agency experience or in a pharmaceutical communications company
Prior supervisory experience
Digital, Social Media, HCP and Patient experience strongly preferred
Experience in oncology, rare disease or dermatology preferred but not required
Excellent copywriting, editing, proofreading and grammar skills
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly
High-level interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
