Effective April 1, 2024 and expires December 1, 2024.

Applicable only for MA & MOS positions in the Centers of Excellence and Maryland Family Care practices, of which this role applies to.

The Medical Assistant demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department.

Additionally, the MA demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. Assists the MD/NP/PA in performing procedures. Operates, maintains and calibrates all equipment.

Requirements

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
• One year of experience in a similar role within a medical office environment.
• Healthcare Provider CPR Certification, preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately obtain patient vital signs.
