    Central Chiller Assembler

    ThermalCare Job Type Full-time Description Thermal Care, part of the IPEG Industrial Group, is a leading manufacturer of process cooling equipment and systems for applications worldwide. As an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer, Thermal Care provides heat transfer equipment for over 50 industries and specializes in meeting the specific needs of our customers by offering both standard and custom designed industrial process cooling solutions. Some of the industries served include plastics, laser, heat treating, food processing, machine tool, plating, anodizing, chemical, die casting, optical coating, and printing.

    **Role**

    The Central Chiller Assembler performs the tasks associated with assembling central chillers per drawings, schematics and technical data efficiently. This role requires good mechanical aptitude for the production of precision parts and assemblies. This position reports to the production supervisor and is located in our Niles, Illinois location.

    **Duties and Responsibilities**

    Maintain a clean and safe environment through a continued program of daily sweeping and general cleaning;

    Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions;

    Assemble chillers/ heat exchangers per drawings, schematics, and technical data efficiently;

    Troubleshoot design and assembly issues and work with engineering to correct them;

    Interact with members of other departments to improve processes and designs;

    Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    High School Diploma or GED;

    Accurately read a tape measure;

    Accurately interpret schematics and blueprints;

    Braze/solder copper efficiently without leaks;

    Bend pipe within required specifications;

    Troubleshoot assembly issues;

    Basic knowledge of refrigeration;

    Must have a positive attitude and foster a continuous improvement environment.
