    VideosDutiesServes as the Maintenance Management Office Chief representative for program accomplishment ensuring projects throughout the Area are well planned, scheduled, budgeted and executed.

    Ensures that activity plans and project management plans written by others are accurate, well written and submitted, and if appropriate, the activities are included in the Program Accomplishment process.

    Performs all supervisory functions for assigned employees to include:

    recruiting, hiring and ensuring training for employees; evaluating performance; taking disciplinary action; recommending employees for awards; approving leave, timesheets, overtime, travel, ensuring EEO practices and principles are followed, etc.

    Ensures overall employee morale, employee viewpoint survey improvements, resolution of employee conflicts, etc. YAO wide.

    Works with program and project managers and budget analysts within the Area and numerous individuals in the Regional and Denver offices to ensure coordination and execution.

    This includes oversight of accomplishing work for the YAO's Extraordinary Maintenance program.

    Coordinates with the TSO Chief for the assignment of project managers to major projects and provides oversight and direction to the project managers throughout the process.

    Prepares high level summary reports or analysis for the Area Manager, as needed.

    Serves as advisor to the Area Manager, in developing and recommending directions for facilitating and improving the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of the activities of the YAO.Provides technical expertise for facility inspections (CFRs, PFRs, etc.), safety of dams, and infrastructure related work throughout the area.

    Provides leadership, oversight and coordination with peers to ensure all facility recommendations received from inspections are reasonable and are accomplished in a timely manner.

    Meets with irrigation district managers as necessary on behalf of the Area Manager to demonstrate to them the importance of completing outstanding recommendations.
