    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical position in an acute Level 1 trauma setting requiring a ND or compact RN license and recent large hospital experience.

    Responsibilities
    Work in a 32-bed inpatient Medical-Specialty Unit within an acute care hospital
    Care for adult medical/surgical patients including those with behavioral disturbances
    Nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
    12-hour rotating day and night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
    Uses equipment including Epic EMR, telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell
    May float to any med/surg unit within all three campuses in Fargo as needed
    Self-scheduling allowed, but schedule adjustments may occur for unit balance
    All private patient rooms equipped with in-room amenities for safe mobility
    Scrub color requirement is navy blue
    Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
    Provide care to a diverse adult patient population, including individuals with behavioral health needs
    Holiday coverage is required as part of the regular schedule
    Badge in and out required at the facility
    First-time travelers are not specifically restricted and may apply

    Requirements
    Active ND or compact RN license
    Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
    Minimum 1 year of recent med/surg experience in a hospital with 250+ beds
    Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting required
    EPIC EMR experience required
    Willingness to float to other med/surg units as needed
    Must not reside within 60 miles of the facility; local rate adjustments apply for those living 60-80 miles away
    Disclosure required if previously employed by Sanford Health, with at least a 6-month gap prior to consideration
