    SUMMARY

    Family Service League is seeking a full-time Program Director for the Home Safe program in Bay Shore. The Home Safe program provides in-home services to youth at risk of placement outside the home and their families, either due to CPS involvement or mental health difficulties.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The Program Director will oversee and supervise a staff of 11 inclusive of care managers, intensive in-home workers, and program assistants.
    • Conduct chart reviews.
    • Ensure adherence to program, and agency standards.
    • Ensure program meets contractual obligations.
    • Generate timely reports.
    • The Program Director will oversee outcome data.
    • Interface with DSS and Children's SPOA.
    • Perform risk management and identify and develop strategies to assist high risk clients.
    • Conduct community outreach.
    • The Program Director will monitor service dollar expenditures.
    • Assist in crisis management.
    • Interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and training staff.
    • Review time records, schedules, and approve vacation/time off requests.
    • Attending meetings as appropriate.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Master's Degree in social work or a related field with at least 5 years of experience with youth and/or families or a Bachelor's Degree in social work or related field with 8 years of experience required.

    Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required.

    Experience working with mental health and or DSS-involved individuals is a plus.

    Must possess good clinical, leadership, and organizational skills, excellent judgment, knowledge of community resources, and experience with or strong familiarity with case management, as well as the ability to lead a team.

    Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based perspective.

    Must be proficient in computer skills including Excel, Word, and Electronic Health Records.
