Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Community-Based Residential Facility Professional, where your compassion and hands-on support make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and residents requiring memory or dementia care. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being within a supportive residential environment. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability when needed
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Provide compassionate Alzheimer's and dementia care by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
- Support residents with assisted living needs by preparing nutritious meals, assisting with feeding, and maintaining cleanliness in personal and communal spaces
- Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and social interaction
- Maintain a safe environment through cleaning duties, safety checks, and adherence to health protocols; respond promptly to emergencies with first aid when needed
- Drive residents to appointments or community outings using company vehicles while ensuring safety protocols are followed
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in senior care environments such as nursing homes or retirement communities is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with home & community care services or personal care homes demonstrates valuable familiarity with residential caregiving settings
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques, behavior management strategies, and memory care best practices is essential
- Experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident information and medication administration is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record for transporting residents on community outings or appointments
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; ongoing training in assisted living or long-term care is a plus
