- Offer therapeutic treatment services to individuals, groups, families, and/or significant others.
- Conduct individual treatment sessions with patients as needed.
- Deliver crisis intervention services when necessary and assess safety daily.
- Interact with patients and their families with respect and dignity.
- Participate in supportive psychoeducational sessions with patients and their families/significant others.
- Offer case management and therapeutic interventions to all assigned patients.
- Act as a patient advocate in case of grievances, following the System's policies and procedures.
- Ensure clinical effectiveness and consistency by adhering to provided materials.
- Communicate with referring providers, schools, and the care team for patients.
- Implement specific goals and interventions outlined in the Care Plan.
- Ensure goals are SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely).
- Document progress according to the treatment plan.
- Record the initial discharge plan in the medical record.
- Document the discharge summary, including patient's presenting problem, progress, current status, and treatment recommendations.
- Coordinate with outpatient providers and other stakeholders for aftercare planning.
- Report and document suspected cases of abuse or neglect following the law and System policies.
- Ensure knowledge and compliance with System policies and Mandatory Reporting regulations.
- Take appropriate actions to maintain patient safety.
- Report safety concerns to the treatment team promptly and document them.
- Ensure patients are in appropriate areas at all times.
- Report safety hazards to the Director of Operations or Operations Manager.
- Document safety incidents through the designated portal.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and emergency protocols.
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited institution.
- Working towards licensure as a Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker, or other equivalent certification.
- Specialization in substance abuse may be required depending on the state.
- Proficiency in therapeutic techniques for all age groups and human behavior dynamics.
- Formal training in cognitive behavioral therapies may be part of the responsibilities.
- American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Training in managing aggressive patients (NCI) required within 60 days of hire.
- Full attendance to mandatory trainings and in-services.

$5,000.00 retention bonus available (In-training licensure)
$10,000.00 retention bonus available (Fully licensed)
The Therapist develops, coordinates, and facilitates all direct social services to patients and their families assigned and performs duties as directed by their manager. The Therapist will work in an acute care setting that includes partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services.
Responsibilities:
Provide social services to patients and their families/significant others
Complete discharge documentation as required and on time
Provide for patient and facility safety
