**Overview:** The individual that we are seeking would have experience in maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory in our MRP electronic system. This individual would also be responsible for preparing finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing product for shipment.

**Material Handler Responsibilities:** Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Inspect freight upon arrival, document any signs of damage, and resolve freight claims in a timely manner.

Verify receipt of purchased goods from suppliers, locate product, process paperwork and complete all necessary transactions according to established procedures.

Pick parts and products from appropriate inventory locations in specified quantities as necessary to fill orders by following established procedures.

Visually monitor inventory levels and communicate low levels to buyers, planners, and others as necessary.

Cycle count inventory according to established guidelines and assist with developing actions to correct inventory problems.

Complete inventory transactions to receive and issue inventory as required.

Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, overhead crane, and other equipment to move parts to proper locations and load and unload freight trucks as necessary.

Properly identify and locate all parts according to established procedures.

Build skids and pallets as needed

Continually move product through the building, taking and delivering product to the correct landing place.

**Material Handler Qualifications:**

Ability to demonstrate mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide

Ability to read and follow instructions

Ability to work with a team

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Ability to stand for 8 hours of the day

**Education and/or Experience:**

**** High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
