    Electrical Design Engineer

    Our client located in the Northwest Suburbs of Minneapolis is looking to add an Electrical Design Engineer to the team due to continued growth.

    This company has been a leader in the Metal Fabricated Industry for over 100 years.

    Highlights

    ·

    Design electrical control systems for switchgear assemblies, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints.
    ·

    Review and interpret customer specifications and sales agreements.
    ·

    Program and maintain design layouts and files in the computerized system.
    ·

    Create programs for PLCs.
    ·

    Redesign standard systems, improving quality and productivity, while reducing costs.
    ·

    Evaluate and select

    electrical/electronic

    components for control systems.
    ·

    Initiate purchase orders.
    ·


    Act as technical resource for product field support of customers, service personnel and field sales force, assisting in addressing and resolving problems.

    ·


    Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems, and ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods.

    ·

    Suggest ideas for new products.
    ·

    Stay current on new developments in the industry.
    ·

    Travel to job sites to resolve problems.
    ·

    Comply with all quality and safety regulations.

    Qualifications
    Electrical Engineer or Electrical System Design Engineer
    5+ years' engineering experience.
    BSEE or similar
    Experience with AutoCAD
    Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is preferred but not required.
    Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
    Experience in sheet metal manufacturing and electrical equipment design.
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    Visa sponsorship- Not authorized for this position now or in the future.
    Relocation Package is not available for this position.
    Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.

    Annual Salary Rate:
    $85K to $125K (DOE) Plus OUTSTANDING benefits package, 4 weeks PTO to start and other great perks.
