- The DON/Clinical Manager will be responsible for the oversight of all personnel and patient care services provided by the agency
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Responsible for establishing and conducting an ongoing quality assurance program
- Oversees all QAPI activities and participates in all activities relevant to the professional services furnished
- Identifies and evaluates potential needs and resources in relation to community health and the agency policies and programs
- Responsible for monitoring the performance and professional standards of all nursing personnel and home health aides in so far as meeting agency requirements
- Assists in the development of the policies, programs, and functions of the agency as they relate to all home health services
- Responsible for scheduling and seeing that case conferences and team conferences are properly and periodically conducted
- Participates in the review, analysis, and appraisal of effectiveness of the total Agency program
- Defines, allocates, and supervises responsibilities within the province of nursing
- Defines and prepares job classifications and job descriptions of nursing service personnel and qualifications within the nursing program
- Provides leadership in promoting and maintaining standards for good quality nursing care by all members of the nursing team
- Provides for continuing evaluation of the nursing and aide staff
- Participates in periodic meetings with the administrator to ensure optimum communication interdepartmentally and to discuss any mutual or Agency problems
- Participates in all agency's in-service programs
- Responsible for conferring with the administrator in the scheduling of monthly educational programs
- Maintains and updates Disaster Plan
- DON/Clinical Manager is available at all times during operating business hours either onsite or by telecommunication
- Reports any suspected violations of Privacy Practice to Privacy Official as soon as breach/possible breach is identified
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Must have an Active FL RN License
- Must have a minimum 1 year of DON experience in a Medicare certified home health agency
- Current CPR Certification
- Driven, highly organized, and detail oriented
- Excellent clinical and critical thinking skills
- Dedicated and passionate about healthcare and quality outcomes
- Continually strives to broaden and deepen knowledge through formal education, conferences, and active participation in professional and related organizations
- Excellent understanding of OASIS, Medicare guidelines, and PDGM
- Travel is required by car
- Stand/walk for a long period of time
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
- Current Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle
