    Description
    Essential Functions


    Develop methods and procedures for manufacturing new products and machine center programming for production and engineering proto types utilizing lean manufacturing practices to include setting up new work centers or modify existing work centers when new products are scheduled for release.


    Develop, approve, conduct training, and implement work instructions throughout production for newly established methods and procedures while assisting with production problem resolution and Preventative Maintenance support.

    Work with Design Engineering on the new Product Development projects utilizing all applicable design control methodology

    (Ex:

    validation risk assessments, GMP) and support in system development of department matrix. Direct technicians tasks in support of Production and project requirements.

    Work with production teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction. Recommend design changes to Design Engineering on existing products to improve ease of manufacture.

    Design and build, or coordinate for fabrication of, new fixtures, equipment and tools for new products to be assembled. Improve fixtures, equipment, and tools for existing products to optimize efficiency while providing process validation as it pertains to FDA medical device requirements


    Develop and implement process corrective actions derived from product field failures of manufacturing items identified through Curbell's Quality Management System.

    Responsible for immediate revisions (mark up) of drawings and/or BOMs that are found to be in error or not to current company standards by operations personnel.

    Coordinate the corrections with product engineering. Responsible for review and approval of engineering change orders pertaining to manufactured items.

    Performs other duties as assigned.
