    Position: Structural Welder

    Work Schedule: Day Shift

    Compensation: $22/hour + Depending on Experience


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyze blueprints to identify welding requirements
    • Adjust welding machine settings as needed
    • Inspect welding equipment
    • Select appropriate welding process and materials
    • Quality check welds and perform necessary repairs
    • Operate machinery such as manlifts and cranes
    • Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor

    SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • 6 months to 1 year of welding experience
    • Ability to pass welding tests
    • Familiarity with AWS D1.1 standards
    • Certification to operate cranes and manlifts

    Utilize various welding techniques to join metal components or repair metal products. Ensure safety protocols are followed during work. Inspect pieces for defects and verify measurements for accuracy. Operate a range of hand and power tools specific to welding. Prepare materials for welding by cleaning and aligning them properly. Identify welding methods based on metal properties, shapes, and project requirements.

    Perform welding tasks in different positions. Recognize equipment malfunctions and report issues promptly. Assemble and secure workpieces using appropriate tools. Control gas flow and pressure for efficient welding. Operate machines for cutting, shaping, and bending metal. Conduct preheating procedures when necessary.

    Guide and monitor welding processes to prevent damage or inconsistencies. Work with various metals like aluminum, stainless steel, and cast iron. Start welding processes by igniting torches and creating electrical arcs. Use precise measuring instruments to ensure accuracy. Apply solder or filler rods for specific weld types. Finish welded pieces by grinding or smoothing rough edges.
