Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Control Specialist with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for application ownership with regard to audit, governance, and maintenance
Manage timelines and has matrix management responsibility
Build positive give and take relationships with stakeholders
Respond to audit/regulatory requests, as well as escalate and present issues to governance forums as it pertains to Third Party Business Continuity
Prepare the governance documents needed for the new initiatives and enhancements in collaboration with development/test leads, project managers and external vendor partners
Develop and maintain strong relationships across Enterprise Resiliency, Global Procurement, Global Information Security, as well as FLU Third Party oversight programs

Requirements:

5-7 years of applicable experience
4-6 years of hands on experience in development/engineer roles coding in Java or Ruby apps hosted in Cloud
4-6 years of hands on experience working with Information Security to ensure vendor application vulnerability remediations
Knowledge of Infrastructure Technology programs and projects, Infrastructure delivery projects (servers, storage, network, etc.)
Experience with the Continuity Planning Tool (CPT), ARC and Data Restore process, and Third Party Testing process
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems
Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to convey message to a broad audience
Detail-oriented and persistent, able to drive complicated tasks through to completion
Ability to work in a globally cross functional, collaborative team environment
Excellent interpersonal skills; positive attitude; team player; flexible
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to lead meetings, follow-up, negotiate and resolve ambiguity
Keen attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
Motivated to work closely and cooperatively with other team members of varying levels of seniority and experience
A self-starter and have the ability to work with little to no supervision
Ability to prioritize, lead work efforts, interact with application leaders, and engage/influence Third Party stakeholders across the company

Desired Skills:

Experience with defect management systems such as ALM or JIRA
Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Functional knowledge of Banking/Payments Domain
