Do you enjoy social gatherings and can bring people together with a community minded purpose?The Veterans Coffeehouse Coordinator for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (AmeriCorps Seniors Program), will be primarily responsible for onsite organizing and hosting of veteran coffeehouses in New London County.

Working in coordination with coffeehouse volunteers the Veterans Coffeehouse Coordinator will attend weekly and monthly meetings at all New London County coffeehouse locations helping with setup/cleanup and running the meetings.

The Coordinator will complete required program paperwork, reports, and documentation.

The Veterans Coffeehouse Coordinator will become familiar with veterans interests and needs and assist the Director in developing partnerships with veterans groups.

The Coordinator will assist the Director with program promotion and development of additional veteran coffeehouses in new regions.

The Veterans Coordinator must have an understanding of and compassion for the needs of veterans, older volunteers and individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds.

The Coordinator will learn, implement, and follow all program policies and procedures and act as a liaison between volunteers, station staff, participants, and administration.
