- Provides personal care services.
- Assists in the administering of medications to stable patients, as ordered by the licensed practitioner, under the direction of the licensed practitioner/licensed nurse in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as all established nursing policies and procedures. This does not include the administration of Coumadin.
- Administers PRN medications after resident is evaluated by licensed nurse and nurse has approved administration of the PRN medication.
- Follows RiverMead procedures allowing residents to self-administer medications. Assists licensed nurse in monitoring and documenting all aspects of such self-administration. Promptly notifies licensed nurse of any failure of a resident to take any self-administered medication properly.
- Performs administrative requirements, such as completing forms, reports, charts, etc., and submits these in a timely manner.
- Participates in development and implementation of resident care plans in collaboration with nurse, other departments, resident and resident's family. Consults with RN/LPN on nursing problems and interpretation of problems to ensure resident needs are met.
- Recognizes emergency situations and implements appropriate emergency procedures when indicated.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two years minimum experience. Long-term care preferred.
- Successful completion of nursing assistant and medication nursing assistant courses that meet federal/state requirements.
- Licensed by the State of New Hampshire as a Nursing Assistant and Medication Nursing Assistant.
- CPR certification required.
- Able to follow oral and written instructions and compose short correspondence and notes.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to complete basic math computations.
- Must be self-directed and dependable.
- Must be a team player with a can do attitude

LNA SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:
