    KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Health Information Specialist III in Irvine, California

    Essential Functions:

    • Controls the management of health care data and records containing information about symptoms, examinations, test results and reports, diagnoses, treatment plans, and treatment outcomes.
    • Creates health record indexes or storage and retrieval systems to collect, classify, store, and analyze patient information in hospitals, doctors' offices, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, outpatient care centers, or hospices.
    • Compiles, codes, indexes, checks, and analyzes permanent medical records of patients, and provides data for research or cost control and care improvement efforts, all in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the health care system.
    • Keeps patients' medical records organized, computerized, and maintained; and ensures they are accurate and complete
    Job Requirements

    Details:
    • 3+ years medical record experience
    • Post High School or Equivalent
    • Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements governing medical record processing, charge capture and release of information
