    Position is remote but light travel will be required. In addition to base salary, this position is subject to commission and bonus plan.

    Job Title: Corporate Group Sales Manager

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Department: Group Sales

    Reports To: Director of Group Sales

    PURPOSE

    Increase revenue by assisting in the development and implementation of group and sales strategies in line with the company's financial objectives and targets. Generate business from the corporate, government, and association market segments.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

    Associate or bachelor's degree preferred but not required; three to five years' related experience preferred; or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    · Valid driver's license

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Identify and prioritize corporate sales opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
    • Respond and follow up on leads generated.
    • Effectively and professionally prepare and present business proposals, presentations, and contracts to clients.
    • Participate and attend sales trainings, meetings, and trade shows to generate business leads and increase company visibility.
    • Assist with reports and maintain database using applicable software programs.
    • Plan, implement, and participate in tradeshows.
    • Negotiate contracts.
    • Conduct site tours.
    • Light travel required.

    Requirements:

    · Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business reports such as financial reports.

    · Ability to effectively present information to management, groups, boards and is comfortable with public speaking among professional peers.

    · Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts.

    · Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    · Ability to use a computer for advanced applications such as spreadsheets, business correspondence (email, memos, etc.) and job-specific software programs.

    · Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

    This position is responsible for a budget. The budgetary responsibilities will include:

    · Knowledge of annual sales goals budget.

    · Reach/exceed assigned sales goals.

    · Participate in annual sales budget process through creating new programs, packages, and special promotions to increase revenue within the realm of the group sales market.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to use hand, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and taste and/or smell. The employee will seldom be required to reach, climb, stoop, and kneel. The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to general office environment conditions. The employee will be required to use a computer, telephone, and operate a vehicle.

    Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules that reflect the business needs of the resort. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
