    Description
    General Summary
    The Sr VFX Coordinator acts as a liaison between floor artists, department leads, and VFX Production Management. This position organizes department reviews, takes notes, and tracks information while ensuring artists have all necessary materials and direction to complete their tasks correctly and on schedule.

    Job Functions
    • Ensure artists have all necessary materials, information, reference, and creative direction to complete their tasks correctly and on schedule.
    • Schedule, prepare, and track submissions, and assist in running meetings, artist rounds, crew/department dailies, and Director reviews.
    • Take notes and document all dailies, reviews, and meetings; publish notes and reference to department database in ShotGrid.
    • Work with the VFX Production Management team to maintain and communicate weekly targets to artist teams based on scheduled milestones.
    • Build and maintain department playlists, goals, and action items.
    • Regularly check in with floor artists and leads regarding task statuses as well as up and downstream requirements; routinely update ShotGrid with the current statuses.
    • Identify current or potential roadblocks and proactively problem- solve prospective solutions or timely alternatives with diplomacy.
    • Drive information to the VFX Production Management team and leads regarding task statuses so that schedules and priorities can be adjusted accordingly.
    • Work with the VFX Production Management team and VFX Render Wrangler to manage farm priorities.
    • Secure materials, equipment, and software for crew, and forecast supply needs and track purchases.
    Qualifications
    • 5+ years' experience in a feature film VFX production role with a strong understanding of live action visual effects workflows, or completion of 4+ live action VFX projects.
    • 4+ years' experience coordinating groups of people.
    • Organized and methodical with strong communication skills and follow-through.
    • Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor progress across multiple, interdependent departments.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Working knowledge of ShotGrid software, required.
    • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, a plus
