Job SummaryThe Laboratory Professional is responsible for performing general lab activities including maintenance of laboratory environment, assisting faculty in developing exercises, and supervising lab exercises.
Responsibilities- Assist faculty in developing and supervising lab exercises for studentsInstall, maintain, and repair lab equipment for Engineering Technology programsWrite laboratory equipment specifications and requisitions to place orders for laboratory equipment and suppliesMaintains laboratory facilities in good working order by keeping equipment clean and reporting equipment failuresRecommends necessary repairs and supplies to the department chairAdjust, calibrate and operate lab equipmentMaintain accurate inventory records of equipment, supplies, and lab instructional materialsArranges for laboratory repairs as necessaryCoordinates and instructs students in the proper use of equipmentAssist faculty in developing and supervising lab exercises for studentsMay supervise student workers and other staff as requiredMay be required to perform job related duties other than those specifically delineated in this position
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a closely related field
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering Technology or closely related fieldThree (3) years of experience maintaining laboratory equipment, operating laboratory equipment, or related experienceFamiliar with computer software that is currently used in the academic programs of the department
Maximum $40,700
