    POSITION TITLE:
    NURSE PRACTITIONER - PRE-ADMISSION TESTING





    HOURS:
    DAY SHIFT; MONDAY -FRIDAY





    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed professional who will function independently, but provides care under the supervision of the Medical Director. They will plan, implement and evaluate treatment in accordance with patient care standards and physician order, as applicable. They will act as a liaison between the physician, patient and family, and collaborate with other health care professionals as appropriate. They may assist in the orientation of new employees, and may participate in hospital or department committees. They must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age groups, according to specific chronological age, developmental age and/or psycho-social maturity.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:


    • MSN from a State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program
    • National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
    • Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
    Required length of experience:

    Previous experience preferred; new graduates may apply

    Required licensure, certification or registry:

    BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association is required.
