- 1st Shift: 6am - 3pm

- 2nd Shift: 3pm - 11:30pm

- Processing Shipments: Obtaining and processing product orders, including picking items from shelves, securely packing boxes, and preparing them for shipment.
- Documentation: Preparing necessary paperwork, such as shipping labels, packing lists, bills of lading, and invoices.
- Logistics & Tracking: Scheduling pickups with carriers, arranging transportation, tracking the status of outgoing shipments, and troubleshooting any issues or delays.
- Inventory Management: Accurately counting, scanning, and recording all incoming and outgoing items using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems. Assisting with regular inventory counts and audits.
- Receiving Duties (often combined): Unloading trucks and deliveries, inspecting incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies, and organizing items for storage or distribution within the facility.
- Work Area Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
- Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, with most employers preferring at least 6 months to 2 years of relevant warehouse or shipping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers and basic software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook), common shipping software platforms (e.g., FedEx, UPS systems), and inventory management software.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate a pallet jack, hand truck, and potentially a forklift (certification often preferred or required within a certain timeframe).
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are vital for accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Problem-solving abilities to handle discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or more) and stand for long periods.
