To keep pace with our growing agency we are looking for a Medical Director to join our team As Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading the medical writing activities for multiple projects:
    developing clinical content strategy with minimal supervision while working cross-functionally and with a high level of independence.

    You will also be responsible for ensuring high quality with regard to scientific content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format, consistency, and adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines, styles, and processes.

    About you:

    • You stay on top of trends in the medical/scientific community
    • You are a master in delivering a range of medical writing activities including researching and developing content
    • With a keen eye for detail, you can accurately convey complex information in a simple way
    • Naturally curious, you are a life-long learner and have an interest in health and medicine
    • You are passionate about providing clinical insights, supplying creative ideas, and developing high-quality content that allows you to use scientific knowledge and demonstrate your writing skills
    • Working independently is your strong-suit, but you also enjoy working cross-functionally
    • You have experience successfully managing and leading others on your team
    Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:


    • Serving as medical point person on assigned accounts
    • Developing and writing medical content for multiple and wide-ranging therapeutic areas
    • Adding value to current project quality and outcomes by demonstrating in depth technical expertise of assigned therapeutic category areas
    • Developing credible content for a full range of deliverables (manuscripts, slide presentations, advisory boards, posters, strategy guides, monographs, etc)
    • Reviewing medical content for scientific accuracy and appropriateness
    • Providing medical insights during brand planning and strategic development meetings
    • Work closely with account and strategic services for the assigned account
    • Oversee all projects within the account to ensure consistency and accuracy
    • Manage a team of writers
    • Interact and work directly with clients
    • Collaborate with internal teams including account, creative, project management and editorial
    • Attending medical, legal, regulatory review meetings
    • Responding to needs of team and senior management
    • Travel up to 25%

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field
    • 5-7 years experience in medical education/medical communications or similar field
    • Advanced degree in life sciences, PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, or other preferred but not required
    • Have managed and successfully mentored junior staff members
    • Comfortable speaking with clients and healthcare professionals
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Familiarity or interest in pharmaceutical managed care marketing
    • Ability to provide direction on content, ability to interpret complex clinical data
