- Greet, assist, and lead customers to product politely
- Actively stock, merchandise, and correct product

- Maintain company standards for perishables and stay up to date on all active safety procedures

- Ensuring Health and Safety Codes, checking for pricing and expiration, and maintaining an organizational standard area.
- To perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, assisting within other departments as needed to service customers.
- Stay up to date and in congruence with Health and Safety standards, as well as holding a working knowledge of cleaning supplies and various chemicals and machines within the department.
- The capability to understand merchandising labels, warehouse order codes, numbers, reports, printed paper invoices and order forms.
- Ability to comprehend and provide complex verbal instructions and descriptions concerning store policy and procedures, and usage of equipment.
- To assure the safety of self, customers and co-workers by understanding and practicing store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of any potential hazard immediately. Pick up/remove all broken containers, packing materials/boxes from the sales floor or customers' pathway immediately.
- To understand the operation, safety requirements and restraints of a baler, case cutter, pallet jack (must be 18 years or older to operate the pallet jack and baler).
- To move damaged/unsalable and "returnable" products from shelves to the backroom, sorting the materials for return to the damage reclaim center.
- Basic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior Experience in related field or industry
- Lift, twist, move and carry a maximum of 50 lbs., from the floor to shelving, or overhead racks in the store
- Maintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areas
- Care for signs, banners, and debris from daily operations
- Respond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions and responses promptly and politely
- Proper usage of store phone and intercom systems
