    Description
    Partnership to End Homelessness

The Partnership to End Homelessness places members at nonprofit agencies and with Greensboro's Housing and Neighborhood Development Department.

Roles focus on helping people get needed home repairs, emergency assistance, employment training, meal distribution, providing case management of disabled Veterans, and helping people to transition into permanent housing.

Every month, members perform full team Community Service projects focused on hunger or homelessness.

Every other week, members gather for team meetings, to plan their next large project, and for training to aid them with their service, their professional development, and their life after AmeriCorps.

Members focus their efforts on case management, emergency assistance, home repair and neighborhood improvement, employment training and volunteer management.

As such, members need to have excellent people skills and a caring, cheerful, can-do attitude because they are frequently meeting their clients on their very worst day.

The member's goal is to build bridges and positive relationships with their clients and the people in the neighborhoods. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
