- Collect revenue for meal accounts and utilize the Point of Sale system. Maintain accounting records as directed.
- Count revenue and maintain individual cash drawer.
- Use standardized recipes to prepare food items.
- Organize work to accomplish responsibilities in an effective manner. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all food preparation and service areas.
- Monitor operation of equipment, reporting apparent unsafe or unsanitary conditions to the manager immediately upon discovery.
- Assure students have a reimbursable meal on their tray.
- Maintain accurate records of people served and food products left over.
- Accurately process and maintain records of meal applications in accordance with Federal regulations.
- Attend in-service training as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION: To collect revenue and utilize the Point of Sale system. Maintain records for meal accounts. To prepare high-quality food with an appearance and taste that is acceptable to students; maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in the food preparation and service area.QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Food Handler's Card. Knowledge in account sales. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift 50 pounds. Knowledge in the use of commercial kitchen equipment. Ability to relate and work well with students, staff, co-workers, and administrators. Ability to work in an organized manner. Clerical and math tests required. Computer skills preferred.
