    Job Summary:
    We are seeking an experienced Radiology Technician to assist in providing patient care second to none This position provides technical radiographic services for a variety of technical procedures that require application of prescribed ionizing radiation techniques. The Radiology Technician will explain procedures to patients, establish rapport with patients, position the patient for optimal imaging, and educate patients and staff members on best practices and techniques for optimal and safe results. We are seeking a candidate who is interest in "contingent" status, meaning "as needed", which may average 1 shift a week.
    Duties:
    • Safely operates radiographic, fluoroscopic, and darkroom equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body according to department standards.
    • Operates under the direction of the Radiology Manager.
    • Prevents unnecessary radiation exposure to both themselves, the patient and other staff members.
    • Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
    • Correctly positions the patient while adjusting the imaging equipment to the specified position.
    • Follows instruction from the acting Physician regarding which area of the patient's body requires imaging.
    • Circumstances may arise where operation of the C-arm is needed
    • Performs other duties as needed.

    Qualifications:
    • Current BLS certification
    • AART certification is preferred
    • Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
    • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
    • Proven excellence in patient safety and care
    • Friendly, empathetic & respectful
    • Reliable in work results, timeliness & attendance
    • Ability to relate to and work effectively with a wonderfully diverse populace
    • Able to work in a fast-paced, and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
    • Able to work under pressure and in situations that benefit from patience, tact, stamina and endurance
    • Detailed oriented, conscientious and committed to precision in work results
    • Committed to contributing to a positive environment, even in rapidly changing circumstances.
    • Is aware of standards and performs in accordance with them.
    • Able to provide eligibility for employment for any U.S. employer
    • Previous experience in job related duties is required.
